Amber started building floating gardens because she missed nature in the canal where she lives and enjoys building for and with nature. The Waterkaravaan is a project for non-profit to contribute to (awareness of) (urban) ecological water quality. In Amsterdam, 25% of the city's surface area is water.
Two years of preliminary research, visiting partners, conducting experiments, making discoveries, and building was very enjoyable and educational. Then came a summer tour full of festivals. And new projects are already beckoning. An irregularly maintained archive.
