A swamp that floats on cork
Originally, the Amsterdam landscape consisted mostly of wetland and peatland. In the Waterkaravaan, Helkant Plant experiments with a swamp cushion: a PLA bag filled with cork residue to create a swamp biotope.
In addition, there are two gardens floating on expanded cork sheets with openings for the roots, a tried and tested design by Helkant Plant.
